Tungsten Carbide Rotary Burrs

Tungsten Carbide rotary burrs (article 28) are characterized by their great resistance: in fact, they have hardness equal to 92 HRC. They are made starting from a bar of K10 hard metal (Tungsten Carbide), and up to 6mm head diameter models are full hard metal, while starting from 8mm head diameter models Tungsten Carbide heads are welded on a special steel shank. The most advanced welding techniques allow us to obtain a product absolutely reliable and very resistant. Shanks are sandblasted, in order to get a better mandrel seizing. All Tungsten Carbide rotary burrs are regrindable and, if the recommended cutting speed is respected, last very long.

Stella Bianca Tungsten Carbide rotary burrs are available also in TiN and TiAlN version.
TiN rotary burrs are Titanium Nitride coated, in order to improve their hardness and wear endurance. For this reason, they are especially suitable to work steel and cast iron. TiAlN rotary burrs, instead, are Titanium and Aluminium Nitride coated, in order to give them anti-friction characteristics and to avoid clogging of the toothing. As a consequence, they are the best choice to work glazing non-ferrous metals. They are also able to endure very high working temperatures (up to 800°).

The rotary burrs are available in four different toothings ("cuts"), identified by numbers 1, 3, 4 and 6. Number 1 cut is characterized by high chip relieving capability. For this reason, it is particularly suitable for working glazing materials: for example, aluminium alloys, light non-ferrous metals, plastics, hard rubber.
Number 3 cut is the most commonly used, guaranteeing good performance in many situations. We especially recommend it when working hardened steel or high resistance steel, and it is necessary to obtain surfaces without imperfections.
Number 4 cut is able to split the chip in smaller parts, avoiding in this way the clogging of the tool. For this reason, it is suited to work very resistant materials.
Number 6 cut has characteristics similar to number 3, but is provided with chip breaker and allows to work with ease very glazing steels.

Stella Bianca Tungsten Carbide rotary burrs (Standard, TiN and TiAlN) are available in many plays of shape, head diameter, shank length: for this reason, you will always be able to find, among the models we offer, the tool best suited to your needs. Please check the page dedicated to them, in order to gain further information and to read our recommendations about cutting speed and ways of use. Many assortments are available too, supplied in handy tool holders

Stella Bianca Tungsten Carbide rotary burrs can be used with all the most widespread models of straight grinding machines on the market.
